Ya I know this is late, but hey I have been studying very hard with Suu'uuuuuB III. I am hoping his training will put me back to the super Respia I had before that kept me alive before I dumped all my stored ranks into Sespus and Faustus. That put me below 2:1 (faustus:respia), so it's been a little painful for me to heal others at times and slow for me to recover. Gee I feel like wenchy does now...
Anyway, I am still looking forward to the upcoming Book II trip, which I think I need to remind everyone about. I have cleared my other committments just to make sure it will happen. I went on a hunt recently and saw the room where Book III was but could not open it, to the dissapointment of the party. I guess you need to be a Book II PF to open that door. It was filled with nasty noids so I would have fallen badly if I had entered it, and may have been stuck. Still I can't wait to start on Book II. Lorikeet & others were kind enough to let me know that for Book II you do not need to store ranks since it is only one chapter, and you can do the second chapter as a pretext at Book III.
Finally, I am so happy to hear that Largo, the ultimate Fen's Fen, has returned and is seeking office, so I will be busy making buttons for him, and campaigning for him. Things are just more fun when Largo is in office, sorry Odes, but in times like these, we need fun.
that is all!

Darnit! I should have waited until the 1st
I messed up. I passed the healer test last night. I was planning on waiting for April Fools to try again, since that is when I passed into 2nd circle a few years back. I guess that's what I get for dumping my stored ranks into Sespus and Faustus. I no sooner pass than Geo is telling me I need to train Proxi. I told him I will in a few years (bwa ha ha ha). Anyway, when I eventually get around to updating our site, I will post the visionstone on the LA site.
What's funny is that many already assumed I was third circle. I know, shocking that after all this time, I still don't cad. But I have a friend who has tried it, and basically hates it - but then again she is a wench. I hear she wants to hurry up and make 4th so she can at least upgrade to a merc. Anyway after hearing about Wenchies issues with cadding, I can totally understand Lori's disdain for that infernal contraption. Heck, I may just skip cadding altogether and work on my self heal and hardiness. From what I have witnessed, when I fall it can cause others to fall while the healers try to raise me vice healing fighters.
Finally, I went on the OWE hunt yesterday, boy was that fun! It was fun playing BB yo-y0. I was pretty good about avoiding healing them until they fell, since I knew it would mess up their BB skills.
After that hunt I studied for a couple of hours and then went with Geo & FB to someplace in the OOB? or was it the NOOB. Anyway we made it to an underground area then would pop up to fight the nasty Orga. I think I managed to fall only once, perhaps twice. Unfortunately the other much higher (and more important healers) fell pretty hard. I think Creed ended up using five potions to raise them. Geo was not happy, he said "Out means out!" You don't have to tell me twice, I would usually run screaming back to the well on yellow, since I was taking 30% hits. In this case a Cad or similar device would have been helpful since the chain lightening is too dangerous to try to heal exiles by touching. Oh well, maybe someday - when I get a merc I will be more useful.

Where have all the smoochy boochies gone?
Gee, I was reading my sidebar and saw my signoff. "Smoochy Boochies". I haven't been out of the library very much lately and haven't been able to inflict - er toss them to unsuspecting victims - er exiles. I must get out more so I can terrorize - er send happy thoughts to exiles...

Last LA Book 1 trip*
* for a while...
Well today was great fun with the last LA organized book 1 trip. Okee so basically we set a date and time and prayed exiles would show up and boy did they ever. It was so much fun, with Ogant leading and the mighty weapons of BlackHole, Kalian, Noivad, and Torin as well as so many others. I must say I think this is the shortest amount of time we have ever required to reach book 1. By Punny's account a mere 2 puddleby hours (ooc: 30 minutes). It was a lot of fun, since we were able to hang out in cave 2, and beat back the crimsons, pitches and malachites that kept spawning. Amazingly enough, no one ended up PND!
I did manage to make one mistake and almost cost us our mission, but lo and behold, the Zo warriors and the mighty healers (J'jh, Geraldus, Kitlin, Darth Wader, Alexia) managed to fend off a dozen or more malachites that myself and Punny accidentally lured back from the sw corner of cave two when we got a little bit excited and thought we could run for book 1. At about that same time while we were running for our lives back to the center of Cave 2 where Ogant and company were camped out, they were battling about 5-6 malachites. We had quite a few fallens but miraculously managed to raise all and beat back the nasty noids.
It was pretty cool that Torin volunteered OWE's help with this, as we never would have made it without them. It was interesting that since it was really only one dominant group (OWE) vice the two that we had last time, that there were no major (as in disaster) falls.
I have to say, I was most impressed with Ogant. He had a great sense of timing and seemed to know when it was safe to move forward, when to lure and when to hold. I think we only had to retreat once the entire time (thanks to me & punny's jumping the gun for book 1 - iirc).
Anway, I am rather relieved to not have to organize any more Book 1 trips, at least not for four years. I may organize one before the next Tsrrin. As for this Tsrrin, we will be going to Book 2. That is going to be mighty expensive! Lucky for us, we have a season or so to collect massive amounts of coins to bribe um reward the two mystics we need for this trip. I actually already know who I hope we can get.
After Tsrrin, we also plan to go to Book 3 around Bawkmas.
Anyway details on the Book 2 trip can be found here: http://www.vagilemind.com/clanlord/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=4721&p=92307#p92307

Eeeketh! Another season has passed
Well, now-a-days I am getting out of the library more. I continue to update the Clan scrolls, and cavort with my clan mates when at all possible. I am closer to passing third as evidenced by what's her name saying that I more than healed her halfway. I subscribe to the Lorikeet method of passing, if only I could actually pass! Anyway, I hope to pass on the four year anniversary of my passing second. Hmm that gives me ideas...
On another sad note, it appears my pal DragonHawk has been lost somewhere in the library. I last heard he was studying very hard. I hope he actually made it to the library this time before going on his extended break. Equally sad is the disappearance of Largo, the fen I was campaigning for to serve as the Fen President. Largo was always kind to me and exceedingly generous. I was hoping to return the favor by campaigning for him and giving him Good Karma whenever I could. I had hoped to see his name blue, but alas he left too soon before I could resume that.
It seems that several exiles are missing these days, all I assume are very busy studying. At least I can take comfort in the fact that many old timers have found their way out of the library. Especially nice to see are some long lost LA clan mates, some of whom I never met before their return. It's funny, the more things change...
On a happier note, by fiat I started a seasonal clan hunt and also declared a Brew & Brawl to follow out clan hunt. I have to thank our short time former member Brandon for the creation of a LA Clan Hunt, as I started it to keep him in our clan. Although attendance is usually sparse as members still believe it occurs weekly, I believe the introduction of a bribe after the clan hunt - pending rescue of us, will help shore up attendance!
Well my time is up for now. See you in the lands.
